NEWS !! SSTP To Build 523 Megawatt Plant - 2008/07/15 04:47 pmSustainable Power Corp. to Build 523 Megawatt Power Generation Facility
Tuesday July 15, 10:35 am ET
Company Submits Initial Application to ERCOT for the Interconnection Process for Baytown Sustainable Energy and Power Center
BAYTOWN, TX--(MARKET WIRE)--Jul 15, 2008 -- Sustainable Power Corp. (Other OTCSTP.PK - News) is pleased to announce that it has submitted the initial application for the electrical power grid interconnection process for the Baytown Sustainable Energy and Power Center. The Baytown Sustainable Energy and Power Center is a 523 Megawatt power generation facility to be built on the Sustainable Power Corp. Baytown site, which will produce its own fuels from non-petroleum sources using the Rivera Process.
Interconnection is the process through which new electrical power generation facilities are integrated into the electrical power grid and wholesale markets for Texas. The interconnection process starts with submission of a Security Screening Study application to the Energy Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT). ERCOT has authority over the operation of the electrical power "grid" and the wholesale power markets throughout most of Texas. Based on the information submitted for the Baytown Sustainable Energy and Power Center, ERCOT will identify any requirements for reinforcing the power transmission system to enable the new facility to be integrated while maintaining the reliable and secure operation of the grid and wholesale power markets.
"Working with ERCOT and CenterPoint Energy, the owner and operator of the transmission system in Baytown, are crucial phases in the successful development of the Baytown Sustainable Energy and Power Center. This project will bring over 500 Megawatts of electrical capacity, enough to power over 400,000 homes, in the Houston area. It will replace older fossil-fueled power generation stations with power produced from non-food renewable sources such as agricultural waste and jatropha and will reduce reliance on imported fossil fuels," according to Jim Armstrong, Vice President of Sustainable Energy Project Development for Sustainable Power Corp. "Ultimately, a reliable, secure interconnection to the power grid is the only way to ensure that the environmental and economic benefits of this project can reach the consumers in the Houston ERCOT load zone."
John Rivera, CEO of Sustainable Power Corp., stated: "The Baytown Sustainable Energy and Power Center is being developed as a model nationally and worldwide for using local resources to meet electrical power needs while addressing questions about secure energy sources and our global environment. None of these benefits can help the consumers until we are securely interconnected to the ERCOT grid. The interconnection process is long and will take a lot of work on our part and with ERCOT and Centerpoint. However, like everything we are doing here, we intend to do it right or not at all."

SSTP Hires General Counsel - 2008/07/17 11:50 amSustainable Power Corporation Appoints Daniel R. Bartley as General Counsel Friday July 11, 10:05 am ET
BAYTOWN, TX--(MARKET WIRE)--Jul 11, 2008 -- Sustainable Power Corp. (Other OTCSTP.PK - News) today announced that Northern California attorney Daniel Robert Bartley, of Bartley Law Offices, has been selected as outside General Counsel for Sustainable Power Corporation.
Mr. Bartley's 36 years of practice include nine years as in-house counsel with Fortune 100 companies: two years as Corporate Counsel with Foremost-McKesson, Inc. (now "McKesson, Inc."), in San Francisco; and seven years as Western Region Counsel for Container Corporation of America ("CCA"), in Silicon Valley, while CCA was a wholly owned subsidiary of Mobil Corporation. In addition, over his 36-year career, Mr. Bartley has served as outside general counsel for several small companies, including start-ups.
Mr. Bartley, age 59, brings to SSTP experience in the following areas: contracts negotiation and drafting; licensing; sales law; real estate law; government affairs; employment law; food & drug; antitrust; corporate governance; electricity cogeneration; tortuous interference with contractual relations; trade defamation; cybersmear; trade secrets protection; False Claims Act ("FCA") qui tam whistleblower litigation (often entailing close cooperation and coordination with Main Justice); and preparation and presentation of internal preventative corporate compliance programs at plants and offices nationwide.
Examples of high-profile litigation cases Mr. Bartley has prosecuted during the past decade include: an FCA qui tam action alleging fraudulent overcharges in the construction of the Los Angeles County MetroRail subway system; a rare quo warranto action alleging unlawful corporate governance practices at Berkeley-based Pacifica Foundation; and an FCA qui tam action alleging that student recruiting practices by the University of Phoenix are in violation of the U.S. Department of Education's incentive compensation ban for higher education institutions participating in the Student Financial Assistance Program.
The Wall Street Journal, in its December 12, 1999 edition, characterized Mr. Bartley as "a leading practitioner of false-claims and whistleblower cases."
A Kentucky native and a resident of the San Francisco Bay Area since 1977, Mr. Bartley holds a BBA from Eastern Kentucky University. He studied law at Tulane and the University of Kentucky, and received his JD from U.K. in 1972. He is a member of the state bars of California, Florida, and Kentucky. While Mr. Bartley intends to have his office fulfill all obligations to his existing litigation clients and to a privately held corporate client in Burbank, he expects ultimately to be devoting the majority of his professional time to SSTP.
Mr. Bartley asserts: "I feel enormously proud and fortunate to be serving a company on the absolute cutting edge of applying American ingenuity and technological know-how to address our Nation's dire emergency caused our dependence upon foreign oil at a time of Peak Oil. I'm looking forward to playing a role in the negotiation, drafting, and editing of domestic and international contracts that are in the pipeline, in implementing appropriate internal corporate compliance programs as the company grows, and, last but not least, doing my part to advance, preserve and protect the legitimate interests of the shareholders -- most especially minority shareholders who, sometimes at great sacrifice, have shown their faith in the Company by investing in the Company long-term."

Re:NEWS!! ALL SSTP BioCrude Is Sold - 2008/07/21 04:41 pmSpeculator, are you saying here 140 million gallons a day or 1.4 million gallons a day. I thought the latter is what they were projecting for eventual production.

"UP TO" 140 Million Gallons A Day - 2008/07/22 01:46 pmCocky Fox
I am not saying anything. What I usually do here is post public Press Releases. The number comes directly from the PR. I think the key words are "Up To". That leaves a lot of latitude. The point is the selling of Vertroleum will start out small, and eventually ramp up big time. Just like you would expect from a "start-up" company. The quoted number has been confirmed by Redwood Consultants
From the PR:
Sustainable Power Corp. (Other OTCSTP.PK - News) is pleased to announce today a Strategic Alliance has been formed with Envirocompanies, Inc., a Nederland, TX based company, to purchase and distribute up to 140 million gallons a day of Sustainable Power's revolutionary biocrude.

Re:"UP TO" 140 Million Gallons A Day - 2008/07/22 04:28 pmThats 1 million gallons times 140. thats about What the US uses in a day isn't it. Wow, if that should ever happen, my little 200K shares would be worth million or more. I think there is a misprint there. That would take one huge plant to refine that much bio-fuel product.

CA From The Roving Reporter - 2008/08/06 12:32 amfrom barrettjet on the other board:
OK this is the TRUTH from your roving reporter, NOT A PUMP unless you regard good news as a pump.
If you think JR is cowering somewhere in fear you you bashers, the SEC and the Florida fuz you are sadly mistaken. I arrived in Baytown and picked up John and his entourage. He was upbeat and outgoing, just as always. He has a legal team in place and will meet all charges. IMO anyone can file charges against anyone so let´s let the courts decide these issues.
Wheels up and off to Guatemala City at noon Sunday. Staying at the Vista Real ... man what a crew quarter this is. JR and crew up and at um 0800. Set up the new mini reactor to test different feed stocks and show results local to partners and reps from different areas. Tested Jatropha and got excellent results. The jatropha produced good fuel and burned a clean, hot gas through a fixed orifice for 1 hr and 30 minutes. The lead tech said these figures will be converted to pounds when submitted. The results mentioned are from 20 lbs of Jatropha He also said it should operate even better today as it takes a day to really warm it up and get things moving. ´´ We jumped in he plane and headed for San Pedro Sulla, Honduras at 1000 am. 30 minute rocket ride. The team disappeared from view after a heck of a good comida medio. They apparently met with L´Sole and viewed real estate for feedstocks. Mentioned were Jatropha, Oil Palm and Algae. We are back in Guatemala City getting ready for a Cena with the Presidente, Don Julio. He is a really nice guy. Time to go. All of this is a TRUE report of what´s happening. More to come and a few pictures. Bye for now,BJ
p.s. For the newbies here, This is a post by barrettjet, bj is a retired pilot that runs a private plane leasing service. One of his customers is he is the official pilot for SSTP, JR's personal pilot. BJ flies JR around the world when he needs to. Bj visits Baytown, rubs elbows with John Rivera, President of the Parlacen and the other dignitaries. BJ sees the goings on in Central Americas first hand.
When BJ gets some downtime he posts pictures of their travels. Here are some new pictures of CA, dated 8-4-08 (on the right hand side): http://groups.msn.com/USSESSTP

Re:CA From The Roving Reporter - 2008/08/14 09:49 pmOkay, all is well and good with SSTP, WOW...up 8.33 percent. Riding a rocket all of the way to 2.6 cents per share. Their sales team should be sooooo proud. But this forum column is about USSE, riding the storm drains all the way down to one half of one cent...that's .50 cents...one two hundredth of a dollar...1/64th of what I paid for it when we were being told the target was $2.00. Bitter? No, but I won't be suckered for any more of my hard earned cash. There's too many casinos around here here for me to be drawn to this type of gamble...ever again.I don't want to own the world...just the part that pays off.

Re:CA From The Roving Reporter - 2008/08/16 08:00 amTOMM,
Everyone is scared silent and clutching their purse strings because of the pending law suit by the SEC. That is a major factor in the recent drop in share price. However, there has been a long slowly drop in SSTP share price also . SSTP fell in the face of all these press releases.
Evidently JOhn's process is not getting any serious interest from the rest of the world out there and I don't understand why. Of course I know the big players in the oil business would not want to mention John's product, but what is wrong with all the others out there that are desperatley searching for a bio-crude product that can effectively compte agains big oil.
I would think that John going into production would raise some eyebrows, but no the share price continued its downward trek. I know that 7,000 gallons have been produced, ok, now where is the continuing stream of production and hopefully a growing stream of production.
JOhn, keep the news flowing, we need a daily status report here to generate interest. Interest that will benefit you as well as your investors. Your investors are getting really anxious here. I know I am. I own a small interest in SSTP of 200,000 shares. Not a great amount but for a small investor like me its a lot and can make the difference in a better retirement.
JUst my two cents. I am hanging on hoping for some sign of growth here.
