Re:SLGLF wake up!! - 2008/09/20 06:44 pmFrom the looks of things and what I see, overlay the most any gold or silver stcok chart and you'll see the same pattern. This is a turning point, imo. We may now have what we have been patiently waiting for and that is the miners get money flow and more attention. The share prices are so cheap. I mean cde was a $1.40 or so a few days ago and now up .40 or so!! Even at $1.80 it is frkn cheap!! Thats just one that pops up in my mind. I was buying and selling while back in the $3s and that was frkn cheap, at least I thought.
I wouldn't realy know about that etfs going inverse to the S/P or any of the others. Check the guys at Zealllc.com and see if they can tell you. They trade the ETFS, ETNS etc.. worth a shot.
A good question. I would like to know what you find out.

Re:SLGLF wake up!! - 2008/09/20 08:42 pmBrent, i did a little research and the etf that i've been trading was not one of the 799 securities protected from short selling. the more i dug the more i came to understand the order, it involves the naked short sales that are being targeted, and about delivering the "borrowed" shares. anyway the name of the fund i have been trading is UltraShort S&P500 ProShares AMEX SDS, success comes when we go long SDS, when the S&P rallies, the RSI @80 on the 60min. chart has been a good entry point, the volitility has made the trade in this bear market pretty predictable. anyway just FYI. but i hear ya EVERYTHING that glitters seems undervalued right now!

Re:SLGLF wake up!! - 2008/09/25 06:52 pmyes what to pick? you know in 1980 when gold made its run it almost didn't matter what you picked. 700 billion dollars, question: how much does it take before the over-abundance of the fiat, finally drives its value into the cellar? i ask cause i really don't know the answer are we close? do we need many more bailouts to the order of 10 or 20? or is the abiss near?

Re:SLGLF wake up!! - 2008/09/28 11:45 amEither way one looks at it, it looks like the metals will meet expectations.. How could they not? Maybe a serious question is why have they not all ready? That answer may be right in front of our faces, as noted in long term charts. This last hammering in the pms, is orchestrated and necessary in many cases. Sorry to say. The Big boys are geting hammered hard and we'll pay for it in the long run. Nothing wrong with hedging your bet though..

Re:SLGLF wake up!! - 2008/09/29 09:50 pmso do feel this last sell off was nessesary? i mean in order to move higher, did we need the move down and the basing-consolidating before making the next powerful move up? some kind of fear in the markets now don't you think Brent? we'll see what happens, there could be a panic TO the metals and miners on the horizon.

Re:SLGLF wake up!! - 2008/09/29 11:31 pmWell if it was necessary, they did a good job of it. To me it was just a buying time operation. Putting off the inevitable. So we wait. Kinda funny on a long term perspective, this fall of recent is still within the long trend of being up!
Give it a few more days for the short term direction, as I believe longer term is still a no brainer. Plenty of times in history 1-3 year down trends in Bull marekts are not so very uncommon..

Re:SLGLF stock price - 2008/10/09 09:49 amI had Silverado Gold stock & used a 15% trailing stop. I sold it, but put it in a "watch" portfolio & likely purchase if it starts up. I created a seperate portfolio to enter sold stocks so I monitor them for possible purchase again. By doing this, I don't worry about them.
