One day while on break my co worker was skimming stock wire for any news on his stocks. While doing so, several perverse pictures came across the screen, at that time a woman walked by and took offense to the photos. Needless to say HR was notified and soon there after he was let go.
I have to say that I am dissapointed that such images are portrayed during the main hours of trading or are displayed at all in a Stock fourm. It is the main reason why I do not check in during trading hours. For fear of what happened to my co worker. I believe that we should refrain ourselves from doing such things until trading hours are closed.
That way we can all be togeather when something truely great does happen.
I am not trying to be a party pooper cause I like all of you in your own special way. I just hope you will understand the situation and respect those who are here for buisness reasons and are at work when they are checking in.

What would happen to the people who work night shifts then and check in at Stockwire? Just wondering what the difference is when pics are posted? No business talk going on during hrs as we all are waiting since March for this national retailer announcement. I hear you somewhat, just think people shouldn't be checking in here if they have to worry about big brother? JMO no offense bro. We have to have fun or do something why we wait, we all sure aren't getting rich at the moment, thats all. So we babysit each other and keep the spirits up while we wait for news to make us money. I have been guilty of a couple of photo's but come to realize that I can't be posting those or anything else if it is going to come across my screen at work.
I mostly come here to see if there is any news that has come out that i missed in the evenings or during the day because you guys are good about posting news like that. I myself look for news but by the time I find it, it is posted here already, Plus I like to read what TGrahm and Haywood and others think about certian things.
I am guilty too, just trying to clean it up a little for myself and others who may have the same issues to.
Maybe we can have two open threads, One for off topic stuff and then one for WNBD actual conversation and news. If not I will no longer be able to be a part of this fun and silly family during the day.

I am very sorry your friend got fired. Would not wish that for anyone but I don't believe we should have to stifle ourselves due to rules of a company that has nothing to do with us.
If there were something to really be talking about with WNBD...believe me...we would be...but we are waiting and in the mean time...we are using it ast a simple chat board just like the political board where a few things could have been and actually have been seen as offensive to someone.
To me...he had just as much chance as being fired when you look at anything on the web...because some people can find any reason to "be offended".
