Exactly Hank,Russia had no choice but back off during the Cuban missile blockade.I remember this well.We could have crushed Cuba at will before Russia could have responded. Now in all fairness I think that poland Chehlosavakia deserves a break from being occupied by foreign forces. They have enjoy self rule for nearly 20 yrs.Shame for them to be overrun again. We can not protect them so why screw with their heads with illusions of grandoise.Russia will crush them in a matter of days.Poland cant protect itself either.Germany overrunned them on their way to Russia & Russia overrunned them chasing Germany`s ass home.Russia took them and all the other countries that Germany had conquered & russia kept them for 45years.Nato is a piece of shit & has no backbone of their own. They are an entity of the USA.If you want something done right,do it yourself. If you cant do it yourself, either do without or get used to mediocracy.

I agree Pollie, but the 10Q's for both HTOG & QMNM were as bad as SWVC and UPDV is late on theirs, which does not usually lead to a good one. It is suppose to come out sometime today. I was tempted to sell my position somewhere else and get in while the price is so low with the hope that their 10Q is good, but I chickened out. Time will tell if I screwed up again.

US wins gold in new event
By TRUTH B. KNOWN August 21, 2008
Beijing- The United States has won the world’s first Gold medal in the new farting event.
The competition was held in the open air Beijing National Stadium known as The Bird's nest. Almost filling the stadium to capacity, over 80 thousand spectators turned out for the event, which featured contestants from 75 different countries vying to be the first gold medal Olympics Farting Champion.
The winner — Doug “The Sandblaster” Shupach of Dallas, Texas — won the event after competing in several categories, including longest, loudest, stinkiest and most-juicy fart. Coming in a distant second was Bagushta Bittuma of Burma. Bittuma was impressed with Shupach’s style and fartistry.
“His training was — how you say? — most good,” Bittuma said. “I wish to train with him some day.” Shupach’s coach, Wendy Bottoms, said that most of the credit goes to Shupach himself.
“There was only so much advice I could give him,” she said. “There’s only so many times I can say, ‘Eat more beans! Eat more beans! Do you want to win this contest or not? Remember: Lean and hungry. Brown eye of the tiger, man! Brown eye of the tiger!’ In the end, he just had to get out there and go with his gut feelings — that’s the bottom line.”
Shupach plans to use his newfound fame to help promote charitable causes.
“I’m scheduled to go on tour with Miss America next week to help fight illiteracy,” he said. “I can’t imagine not being able to read, because I do a lot of that during my training workouts.” The moments of happiness we enjoy take us by surprise. It is not that we seize them, but that they seize us.

Edit: I sat ring-side and whitnessed Paul Boomer execute a perfect Triple Flutter-Blast .. It brought tears to my eyes

CHESTER, Va. — If John McCain had tried to play into Barack Obama’s strategy of sounding out of touch with ordinary people, he could not have done better than to say in an interview that he didn’t know how many houses he had.
“I think — I’ll have my staff get to you,” Mr. McCain told reporters for The Politico in an interview in New Mexico on Wednesday. “It’s condominiums where — I’ll have them get to you.”
