Re:BLLB:What Can You Say ,No News - 2008/08/28 08:14 pm With all the cutting back from big SUV's to smaller economical cars, people around my area switching from fuel oil to wood stoves or pellet stoves, the positive progress that has been made in Iraq and bringing troops and equipment home all saves oil, plus many other changes going on in our country finally.

BUT, because we outsource factories to third world countries, they are making money now and prospering. They want cars, homes, luxury items they only ever dreamed of, this means demands on lumber, steel, all kinds of goods, which drive up prices because of world demand. Check this article out, a $2500 car about to be released in India. It will be efficient, but think how many million will be put on the road in a year or two and all requiring oil/gas. Thi demand issue is only going to grow from China/India while we are cutting back.

Re:BLLB:What Can You Say ,No News - 2008/08/28 08:18 pm Wrink, either side can fix our problems. One way to fix the better jobs & more of them is through what we are hurting for.Energy! This can create many good paying & jobs that wont be shipped oversea. The product is needed here,so we dont have to set prices to no one elses standards but our own.Alternate energy is the solution to many of our woes.Telling the world,we dont need your oil would scare them to death. We must learn to make & consume our own goods & not to export our technology to every Tom ,Dick & Harry. Then we can dictate the terms of our trade with others. We can take in as much as we export. This way we dont have a trade deficit.Making our selves energy suffienct will have a profound effect on our economy as well as stature in the world. If you want something done right,do it yourself. If you cant do it yourself, either do without or get used to mediocracy.

Since Obamas ticket is filled, does this mean tomorrow it will be McCain/Pollie 2008?

Re:BLLB:What Can You Say ,No News - 2008/08/28 08:30 pm Wrink the demand issue is all the more reason to wean ourselves away from oil.I dont really care who fixes the problems,so long as some one starts taking the initiative. The offshore drilling issue is a moot point to me.I dont really care.I know it can be done relatively safe with out too much enviromental damage. The point is this should not be the higher priority.Weaning ourselves from oil & really putting forth the effort to become self suffienct should be top of the agenda. If they believe that drilling is the answer, they are not trying to help us but support their own business of oil sales.Any way I slice it thats what it comes down to. If you want something done right,do it yourself. If you cant do it yourself, either do without or get used to mediocracy.

Actually Wrink I see a world of difference between McCain & Bush.I will put credit were credit is due.I dont feel that McCain is mean spirited like Bush & Cheney.Them two just do not give a damn for Americans.Money is their god & shame on anyone that gets between them and their god(money).I believe McCain would actually like to help the american people ,but is handcuffed by his party. He knows he needs the support of the GOP to have any chance.Dam shame hes not a democrat.they don`t handcuff you by a bunch of old guard rules. The free masons have never died they are still very much alive in the republican party.Like I said have no personal dislike for McCain. He has been befriended by the wrong people.

That post meant a lot to me Pollie, thank you. Was nice to hear you come half way on McCain, that was fair, much appreciated. He is a good man, means well, will do his best to help America. I also think Democrats will have majority (60) needed to override any veto from McCain. We'll see, but I think they will pick up enough seats, they already have a majority in Congress and that will only grow larger as folks got a bitter taste of that first 6 years of Georgie boy and his congress, jmopinion.

That being said, I still think McCain wins, because America isn't quite ready for a black president, close, but not quite. Obviously his lack of experience is an issue, Rev Wright and other things. John McCain is a Democrat in sheeps clothing! John will do just fine working with the Democrats and I do honestly think he has many liberal feelings that he has to keep covered up for now. If he wins the election, he will uncover more of those liberal feelings I think as he won't be looking for reelection and kissing anyones asses.

Re:BLLB:What Can You Say ,No News - 2008/08/28 08:59 pm I was talking to a highway patrol man (had car trouble, he came to help.) His radio was on a talk channel, and the talk was about the vice pres. candidate for Republicans...who would it be? I said, "I hope they pick _____" He said, "I was kinda hoping for Fred Thompson" and he launched into what I can only describe as a "Stockwire BLLB Republican commentary". LOL! I felt right at home.

He even called our leaders stupid, and he is a Republican.

I pray for Huckabee, Ron Paul or Hillary, lol, serious, those are my three favorites from this year. No chance for either republican and Hillary is a real fantasy.

Someday before I die, I WOULD LOVE TO SEE A DEMOCRAT AND A REPUBLICAN TEAM UP FOR THE GOOD OF THE COUNTRY, THAT WOULD BE SPECIAL AND FORGET ALL THIS PARTISAN POLITICS.

I wanted to tell him I knew someone who suggested Huckabee, but I couldn't get a word in edgewise...

This just came from a friend:

John was in the fertilized egg business. He had several hundred young layers (hens), called 'pullets,' And ten roosters to fertilize the eggs. He kept records, and any rooster not performing went into the soup pot and was replaced. This took a lot of time, so he bought some tiny bells and attached them to his roosters. Each bell had a different tone, so he could tell from a distance, which rooster was performing. Now, he could sit on the porch And fill out an efficiency report by just listening to the bells. John's favorite rooster, old Butch, was a very fine specimen, but this morning he noticed old Butch's bell hadn't rung at all! When he went to investigate, he saw the other roosters were busy chasing pullets, bells-a-ringing, but the pullets, hearing the roosters coming, could run for cover. To John's amazement, old Butch had his bell in his beak, so it couldn't ring. He'd sneak up on a pullet, do his job and walk on to the next one. John was so proud of old Butch, he entered him in the Renfrew County Fair and he became an overnight sensation among the judges. The result was the judges not only awarded old Butch the No Bell Piece Prize but they also awarded him the Pulletsurprise as well.

Clearly old Butch was a politician in the making. Who else but a politician could figure out how to win two of the most highly coveted awards on our planet by being the best at sneaking up on the populace and screwing them when they weren't paying attention?

Vote carefully this year, the bells are not always audible.

None of us Texans are safe!!! It's bad enough that illegal immigrants in Texas were stealing our identities. Now we find the Georgians are doing it too. I wonder if Michael Lee White knows that his identity has been stolen?

On a serious note, even a credible reason --- if there is one, will never rise above the level of being highly suspicious. This looks very bad for us, IMO.

I refuse to watch Obama, he honestly affects my guts when I see him or hear him. I always flip the channel when he is on anymore. Sure hope he doesn't win, otherwise I'll have a sick stomach for 4 years straight.

McCain 2008
Hillary 2012

You could be watching the Cowboys for their last preseason game. They ought to do well this year. Besides, I can't remember who won the Super Bowl last year but, I'm sure the boys could whoop up on them now.
