Spicy Pickle™ Expands With Two New Corporate Locations

DENVER, CO - January 29, 2008 - Spicy Pickle Franchising, Inc. (OTCBB: SPKL) announces the signing of two leases for new Corporate restaurant locations.
Once built out, there will be a total of three company owned stores, including the already operational combination franchisee training store, bakery, and commissary located in downtown Denver.
In conjunction with the expansion program of company owned stores, Spicy Pickle™ also announces the hiring of 17-year fast casual veteran Mike Neil to manage the corporate store division.
The first new location is in South East Denver on the high traffic intersection of Parker Rd. and Iliff St. The unit is located in a redeveloped restaurant park. Known as the Promenade on Parker, Spicy Pickle will share common space with Chipotle, Starbucks, Tokyo Joes, and 5 Guys Burgers.
Marc Geman, CEO of Spicy Pickle Franchising, Inc. commented: "We are very pleased to have secured this lease in an underserved area of Denver. The complimentary restaurants will significantly add to the customer traffic in the Promenade development.”
The second new site will open in Ft. Collins, Colorado. Spicy Pickle will share a retail building with Chipotle and Mad Greens. Nearby is a large Hewlett Packard campus and other white-collar offices that represent the ideal Spicy Pickle demographic.
Both locations are under construction and will be open in the spring of this year.
Spicy Pickle has recruited Mike Neil to run the Corporate restaurant operations. Mr. Neil was with Jason’s Deli chain for 17 years, and managed their growth from 5 units to over 100 units. Mike is a Certified Franchise Executive with the International Franchise Association, and after leaving Jason’s earned his MBA degree.
Mr. Geman commented, “Mike Neil is a great addition to our infrastructure which is key to running successful restaurants. Mike comes to us with significant experience in growing a concept as well as overseeing restaurants with similar operations. We expect Mike to make an immediate impact in our system.”
